More than 500 ready-to-deploy Intel IoT Market Ready Solutions and Intel Select Solutions feature Intel Xeon Scalable processors, allowing customers to deploy faster. Up to 80% of our Intel Select Solutions will be updated by the end of the year.
Intel’s new 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors for data centers across the globe are designed to handle a wide variety of workloads, from cloud to network to intelligent edge. CtrlS, ESDS, Pi Datacenters, Reliance Jio, and Wipro Limited are among the early users of Intel’s 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable platform in India.
The new Scalable CPU, according to Intel, provides a substantial performance boost over the previous version, with a 46 percent gain on common data centre tasks. Intel SGX for built-in security, Intel Crypto Acceleration, and Intel DL Boost for AI acceleration are among the new and improved platform features offered by the CPUs. Customers can speed deployments across cloud, AI, enterprise, HPC, networking, security, and edge applications by combining these new capabilities with Intel’s wide range of Intel Select Solutions and Intel Market Ready Solutions.
“Several inflections are shaping the future of technology, including the growth of the cloud, AI, the fast deployment of 5G, and computers at the edge. Intel’s technology and leadership offerings are more important than ever as the speed of digital disruption increases “According to Prakash Mallya, VP and MD of Intel India’s Sales, Marketing, and Communications Group.
The newest 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors, which use Intel’s 10 nanometer (nm) manufacturing technology, offer up to 40 cores per CPU and up to 2.65 times better average performance than a 5-year-old system. The platform offers up to 6 terabytes of system memory per socket, 8 DDR4-3200 memory channels per socket, and 64 PCIe Gen4 lanes per socket. The scalable processors are designed for contemporary applications that operate on-premises as well as in dispersed multicloud settings.
“Infrastructures that can smoothly grow to meet responsiveness and varied performance needs will be required for 5G workloads. To satisfy these needs, processors must evolve to keep up with the increase of data consumption, edge computing, and the fast development of cloud-native 5G networks. The Intel Xeon Scalable CPU 3rd Generation is a significant step forward in this development “According to Aayush Bhatnagar, Jio’s Senior Vice President.
